Mummys Yucky Biscuits

These are one of my everyday staples. Good for protein and fibre when you can’t eat much else.

  • 500g Quinoa Flakes
  • 2 C Flour – I use rice or buckwheat or a combo of the two
  • 1 t Bicarb Soda
  • 8t Orgran No Egg – this would be about 4 eggs if you can have them but never tried it
  • 200ml water – omit if you use eggs
  • 100ml Canola Oil – can sub coconut oil but add 30ml less rice bran oil
  • 230ml Rice Bran Oil
  • 1/2 C Maple Syrup
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper
  3. Whisk No Egg and water
  4. While still whisking slowly pour in oil
  5. Add all dry ingredients and combine. (You can sift together the flour/s and bicarb so you don’t get chunks of bitterness but I don’t usually bother)
  6. Add the maple syrup slowly while it is still mixing until just combined
  7. Roll into balls and flatten on baking tray.
  8. Bake for about 20 mins
